Just because someone is successful does not mean they are intellectual or possess wisdom.
The stories of other people who have made a difference by how they lived their lives and the ethics, values and morals that propelled them through life is well presented. This is a book every young person should read to help them find their direction. Business and Life is NOT a grab all you can get and forget the damage to others your greed takes. This book contains many excellent life lessons that demonstrate how to set a plumb line for how to live a life of responsibility, integrity and value. I found the political statements offensive, mainly because the values of the ethically challenged liberal mind-set is counter to my experiences.CAUTION: My advice is to enjoy the fruit but spit out the seeds. In other words - have a discerning mind while reading this book.

Outstanding leadership book!
This book is fantastic! I have read numerous leadership books; many of which are text book type and boring. This book was engaging and kept me reading! I loved the story telling and the fantastic quotes! It was the first time I ever used the highlight feature on my Kindle and I must have used it 50 times! Great read - highly recommended for individual read or even a team-read type book. It also was great insight on politics in this country.

Excellent!
I found this book to be excellent! In addition to the stories and views of the people interviewed that serve as the foundation for the book, Mr. Sullenberger has added his own thoughts and views on various subjects, which also gave me a better idea and understanding of who Sully is.

till it became an exceptional life thanks to a bunch of really stupid Canada geese
A "common man" who did something totally uncommon in less than 3 minutes! This is a gentle, humble self-told tale of an "everyman" sort of life...till it became an exceptional life thanks to a bunch of really stupid Canada geese. If I could have a second father or brother, I'd pick Sully for sure!
