Won't work on 3/4" materials
3/4" material is so common; why doesn't this lock accommodate it? We can't wait to get another lock; so my husband is going to buy a bit and counter bore both sides of the 3/4" thick door frame to make this fit. Not only does this not accommodate a standard thickness, now we are making the material to which it attaches weaker.
