Great for crickets

I use Fluker's Orange Cube as a cricket diet and gut load for feeder insects, and it’s been working well. The crickets seem healthier and more active, which is great for feeding my reptiles. It provides good vitamins, minerals, and hydration.

We have tried several kinds of cricket food now for our daughters feeder crickets kept for her frog. These seem to last longer than other brands, have a sweet smell (some smell nasty!) and the crickets do seem to like them. If you aren't feeding many crickets, I would suggest breaking the pieces into smaller pieces and feeding twice daily in smaller amounts instead of once as they do tend to dry out a bit faster in my opinion. Not a problem that bothers me enough not to buy again, since the crickets are doing well and do seem to like it. Much less messy than some and the low odor and lack of a "slimy" feel make me happy! Remember to remove old feed when putting new in.

After trying everything else (including potatoes, apples, wet rocks, wet moss…), I finally bought Fluker’s Orange Cubes. I also use Fluker’s cricket diet with calcium and a slice of apple changed every two days. This is the magic combo to keep feeder crickets alive. Before I was cleaning out 3-5 dead crickets every day. They drown in even the tiniest bit of water. But the Orange cubes keep them hydrated. Potatoes stink and attract gnats, apples alone don’t have enough nutrients. I still don’t like having feeder crickets to take care of, but this makes it so much easier. I keep the jar in the fridge, and put out a new cube about twice a week. Another helpful thing was to get a small cricket keeper with built in tubes a feeding trays (see the photo). I put some bark, folded cardboard, empty TP tube and a piece of egg crate. I haven’t found a dead cricket in days.

Okay. So your kid has leopard gecko. They eat crickets. You need these. Period. Far better begets than in loyal shops.
