the horrible smell was still present
This garment had a dank, musty, mildew-y smell when received. After two regular washings, the horrible smell was still present, and so the garment remained unwearable. Finally, after soaking it for eight hours in a bathtub of (at first) hot, soapy water, wringing it out, and running it through the washer AGAIN, the smell was gone and the garment was wearable at last. Be advised.
