The famous James Bowie played an integral part in the Texas Revolution in the nineteenth century. His fame started from his fight with Sheriff Norris Wright. Two sing groups met on a sandbar in Mississippi to witness a duel. A riot broke out amongst the two groups. Bowie was in the hip, smashed in the head by a pistol and then impaled by Wright's’ cane. As Wright tried to remove the , Bowie pulled him down and impaled him with his ; killing Wright on the spot. Bowie was then again and stabbed in the back. After surviving all of this Bowie became feared and respected throughout the country for his fighting abilities. There have been various versions of the famous Bowie over the past 200 years. We have made slight modifications to the common design to feature a raised "DAAB" Dual Angle Approach Blade; this razor sharp blade modification provides you maximum edge control while carving. It has a burly high-tech Linen Micarta handle with a brass bolster to give it a more solid hand.
