The best fly swatter!
I first came across these at Walmart for $2.50 apiece. I bought two along with a handful of cheaper ones. Those two became so sought-after in the home that when I couldn't find them at Walmart anymore, my cheapskate husband declared it was absolutely worth paying $6.50 per fly swatter to get more on Amazon. I have to admit that it was more than a little surreal clicking the buy button on that order, but so far, we've not regretted it. We get a crazy amount of flies in our house, so the fly swatter is actually an important piece of equipment, and there is simply no better model. So what's so great about this fly swatter? It's supple and firm at the same time, delivering an excellent swat. The shape of the head makes it easy to get into the corners of windows. It's a single piece of very sturdy plastic, so there's no chance that the head will get bent or the handle will get deformed (a common fate for the cheaper metal-handled fly swatters). Finally, it stands up to an incredible amount of abuse -- our toddler likes to play with them and strew them around the house, where they get stepped on and tripped over on a regular basis. So far, not a single one has so much as deformed, and the two originals have been kicking around for over a year and a half.I think this is as perfect as a fly swatter can get. And this is probably the most anyone has ever written on one either. :)

It Works, What More Do You Expect?!?!
I killed my first fly with this the other day. Killed it with one shot, as the fly was flying! Now that's a FLY SWATTER! I don't know what people are expecting to get, but this thing works great! Also, the little dustpan is a nice little feature. I didn't even have to touch the filthy little insect! Buy with confidence (but again, it's a fly swatter not a computer)!

Filthy & Not as advertised
First, the description says it’s a “3 pack” and it definitely only came with 1 fly swatter. Second, the fly swatter and the packaging look like they are covered in feces. I am afraid to touch them without bleaching them first. They are the type of fly swatter that I love, but these are in poor condition.

No more "just out of reach" Mr Fly!
The only reason I don't give this product five stars is because it's so stinking hard to keep track of the tiny "dust pan"! It tends to pop off the fly swatter sometimes, and if I set it down while fly killing I often have a hard time relocating it. Perhaps having options with brighter color/pattern dust pans would be a good option. Anyway, besides that though, these fly swatters are quite wonderful. The longer length is perfect for swatting down the flies that land on the ceiling and our inset lights. The "frills" work great for sweeping up the corpses, and the dust pan holds them nicely to carry for disposal (when I can find it ;) ). All in all, quite nice!

Best Traditional Fly Swatter
This is probably the best traditional style fly swatter around. Long, strong, good whip action, and a nice, effective shape. Ergonomic handle. The little detachable "dust pan" style scoop is a nice touch, but remove it prior to swatting the intruder for proper aerodynamics. The only thing better is the electric "tennis racquet" style zapper. I keep both handy in order to effectively murder any insect/arachnid trespassers!

overpriced chinese flyswatters
I made a mistake in believing the reviews that this is a heavy duty fly swatter worth more value than a standard flyswatter. The thickness is about the same you could expect to find from the eighties before everything became crap made from china. It is NOT some high strength swatter and what's worse is that it is chinese plastic, so it will degrade faster than a quality plastic used in other countries that care. As for the special shape that I read in some review saying it will fool a fly, come on really???? Does anyone believe that a fly has intelligence that can figure out what that long chinese stick you are holding is used for? If so I have a heavy duty set of 3 flyswatters that Im willing to part with for 50 bucks. Unfortunately I paid about 6 bucks for each swatter which I believe in todays inflated market is worth about 2 bucks each, so I paid 12 bucks too much. Guaranteed it was made in china for under a buck a piece. What I learned from this purchase is that reviews may be more inflated than price and I will be more cautious from now on.

Came with three pink/purple combo instead of the two green/brown ...
Came with three pink/purple combo instead of the two green/brown and one pink/purple advertised in the description. Seems to work as intended, though they apparently took some earlier review feedback and now the "dust pan" is difficult to remove from the unit (can be frustrating when the intended victim is flying away).

Cute AND effective!
I had put off buying a fly swatter for years--I thought they were disgusting and not necessary...until this summer, when we just couldn't seem to keep flies out of our house. Tried shooing them out, tried the newspaper thing with limited success. Finally broke down and ordered this fly swatter. It has yet to miss a fly. The edge of the swatter has little bristles with which to brush the carcass into the quaint little fly-pan that snaps onto the swatter. Couldn't ask for more in a fly swatter. Seriously.
