The LED lights won't be as bright, but yes there are proper sized bulbs available and you can use them. Probably up to a year from now there will be LED bulbs available that are as bright. I hope this helps!

The fan is very attractive. If you are looking for more class than a standard ceiling fan, I think you'll like it. I bought 2 of them, one for my newly remodeled kitchen and one for the sunroom which is attached to the kitchen. Our new cabinets have all of the optional upgrades making them look like expensive furniture instead of kitchen cabinets. I've had very positive comments from visitors on the beauty of the fans.
