Effective but expensive.
They do remove excess humidity but are pricey. You need one in every room and they have to be replaced frequently. Have a continuous humidity situation. You might be better off buying a quality dehumidifier. If it is a temporary situation, they do a very good job.

Good values and work well
Much less expensive than Damprid and work well. I had one bag with very slight leak so I am mindful not to hang them above anything that a few water drops would harm. Only had one bag with the slight leak so I'm satisfied.

*UPDATE* The new design leaks! I reordered these thinking they were the same as the original style reviewed below, but the new ones are much lower quality. They still remove moisture from the air well, but they do NOT reliability hold the water in the pouch. I'm on the 3rd one because the first two leaked onto the carpet in my room. Make sure you keep a bucket under them now.Original review:My home gym (a bedroom) had consistently higher humidity than the rest of my house, probably because I'm sweating in there all the time. My house is usually 40-50%, while the gym was always 50-60%. This created a musty smell.I bought these hanging moisture absorbers and placed one in the closet (with the doors open of course) and within a day started noticing water building up in the bag. It has reduced the humidity in the room down to 45%, which is what the rest of my house normally is at this time of year.They are cheaper than the competitors, and I'm still on the first bag after 3 weeks. Another week or so and it will be ready to swap out. 4 bags should last me almost 4 months I think, not too bad!.Given the price and performance (so far) it's hard to find any fault with them. I'll be buying again in the future I think.

Surprised at how quickly these fill up
I tried to solve the humidity problems in my small apartment with these. They do what they're intended to but I ended up purchasing a new AC unit, as the intended use is more for small spaces like closets.I still hang these throughout my apartment, and am amazed at how much moisture they gather.No smell. Good design. Easy to use.

Works well. Just hang it and check it the next day. If you want faster results just hang it in front of the fan.
