I never thought I'd write a review on, off all things, hemorrhoidal ointment. However, I greatly prefer this generic brand to Preparation H for 3 solid reasons: (1) The ointment doesn't become so firm in colder temps (like 60 degrees instead of 70 degrees) that it becomes almost impossible to squeeze it through the applicator, (2) the applicator only has holes nearer to the top and not to the base and this prevents the ointment from oozing out during application; (3) it is cheaper! I'd actually pay more for it.

Took the itch out pretty quick. Works better than witch hazel pads.

I was surprised by the size of the tube. It is not easy to hide if you want to carry it with you for any reason. It does work well for the itching. It comes with an internal applicator tip. I do not need this but nice to know it comes with it.

I liked the Tucks kit better, but this helped some. Nothing special, it would be better if it had some lidocaine in it. If you have pain find something with Lidocaine in it, to help numb the hurt.

So far seems to work better and faster than other ointments I have used.

Has the same ingredients as name brand and I have the same experience while using, will buy again, I did not notice a weird smell
