Yes, there is an easy way to wire these sequential lights. The instructions come with the lights. It will make your truck stand out from the crowd.

Q: Do you have to have existing turn lights or will the still plug in

If you have rear facing turn signals on side mirrors, then yes you can install. For front install, removal of reflector is mandatory.

Q: Do these require sequential blinker on back side of mirror?

Technically no. But their backside blinker allows you to plug their front one directly into it for true plug and play. It's worth it to have both front and back. Then you only have to run one wire to fuse box inside cab for the running light on front blinker. And as a bonus if you don't have a puddle light, it's easier to add one while you have everything apart.
