Worked great on my parents old pool gate fence to keep my toddler out. I like that it automatically locks when the gate is closed and from either direction. Very easy to install with basic screwdriver and wrench.

Install was easy. It’s not sophisticated or high tech but it gets the job done. Prevents my child from getting into the pool! It’s a good price for a latch and works great.

We used this on our chain length fence for our yard along with an automatic spring closer to keep the gate shut when the kids open it but forget to close it! Works like a charm!

I bought this latch to replace the 38 year old one that my wife managed to break(don't ask). This latch fits pretty well, although I had to make the gap between the post and frame a little bigger. Also, the latch rod stabilizer grabs the rod if you tighten the screws all the way. The directions do say not to over tighten, but it's much more than that. I put a spacer (1/16"+)between the pieces on the post side and was able to tighten it pretty well. A provided drop in spacer would be a plus. I consider this a design flaw, but not enough of one to make a stink. My old lock does not fit in the hole, but it too, is at least 38 years old and is ready for a replacement!

This item replaced the old one that cracked.Very easy to install and use!

Once you get it adjusted it doesn't great job at allowing the gate to go either way and at the same time be secure in between especially for children

We have an chainlink fence around our swimming pool and only had the lock that you lifted and closed prior to buying this lock. This lock has made me feel so much better paired with a mechanism to pull the door shut. The lock closes on its own and my kids can't open the gate without an adult. I highly recommend this product.
