It cleans, it doesn't dry my hair out, it doesn't stink.

I also use Desert Essence conditioner. This pair leaves my hair, and scalp, feeling clean, soft, and manageable. They are a great find for anyone but especially valuable for those of us sensitive to fragrance.

I have been using this shampoo for many years because of a family member who has chemical sensitivity. My hair gets really clean and the shampoo smells like shampoo should (similar to bubble solution that kids play with). Unscented typically means that no fragrances were added to the shampoo to cover up the chemical smell. Your mileage may vary if you have chemical sensitivities or allergies, but it is worth the chance if you haven't tried it yet. If I would criticize the shampoo, I would ask the manufacturer to put it into a different bottle. The tiny hole leaks (sometimes) depending on the bottle you get. Some leak a lot, others don't leak at all. You also can't fill up the bottle too easily to get the last few drops out. I usually pour what I can into another bottle & cut the end off, but it would be convenient if I didn't need to do that.

I have extremely oily hair, and my scalp is prone to flaking due to a combination of psoriasis and excema. Products made for these issues irritate my skin like no other. I've been using this shampoo (and the conditioner) for several years and the difference is amazing. Less itching, less flaking, my hair looks cleaner longer (within 12 hours the roots are visibly darker, a big improvement from the 4-8 hours previous products gave me), is SUPER soft, and my allergies don't have a negative reaction. I have Celiac Disease as well and this doesn't set off the reactions so many other shampoos tend to do. I 100% recommend using this if you have any of the issues I have.

Worst shampoo I have ever purchased, burned my scalp

I have been using this shampoo for many years. Amazon should describe it as fragrance-free, not unscented, because for people like me who have a sensitivity to fragrances, unscented does not mean fragrance-free, I had to learn this the hard way. Fragrance-free and unscented sound like the same thing but they are not. Unscented products most of the time have no scent because they have masking scents, which is just as bad. If you notice, the shampoo container itself describes it as fragrance-free, not unscented. You might say well what's the big deal anyway, but sensitivity to fragrances can cause serious long-lasting rashes.

This is my go-to shampoo, but it definitely has its pros and cons. I really like that it is genuinely fragrance-free, and it doesn't set off my allergies or irritate my sensitive skin. It does a great job of cleaning my hair and generally doesn't leave residue. However, it can be VERY drying and if I'm not careful it strips my hair of too much oil. (Yes I'm using a conditioner.) It can also be rough on bleached/dyed hair and I would definitely recommend using something else for your first few shampoos after a new dye job. If you have a very dry scalp, this shampoo might be wrong for you, but I like it.

My doctor recommended I use fragrance free products. My hair feels thicker when I use this shampoo. I really like it.
