Hi there, you can open the lid by pulling the lid up directly. The kettle has no lid-opening button.

Q: Does that large "sticker" with product features come off?

I hadn't even noticed that sticker on mine, until reading your question. And it had lifted up quite a bit by itself when I found it. It isn't very prominent "in real life", but yes, it peels right off with no residue.

Q: How do you charge this up? Does it come with a charging cord

Yes it sits on a charging plate. You just turn it on once you put water in it. It has a button you can turn on or off to keep the water warm.

Q: I just got this item. it states "build in filter" on product description. i dont see a filter. where is it??

This product doesn't have a filter, sorry.
