Son of God Digi-Book (Blu-ray / DVD/ Digital Hd +28 Page Book)

I really do love to watch this movie me and my grandchildren watched it. I can never understand why anyone would hurt someone so bad how they hurt someone who gives love and just wants to tell the world how to be saved and be with God me and my granddaughters we love to watch it and I tell them always be good to people and show your love and tell them about God we all need him in our lives.

Roma Downey has done her usual expert retelling of biblical narratives. In addition to this DVD she has produced a complete retelling of the bible from the creation, through the great flood, the Babylonian Captivity, the Nativity of Jesus, His development into manhood and his ultimate Crucifixion and Resurrection. Diogado Morgado is excellent as Jesus and Greg Hicks is outstanding as Pontius Pilate. The DVD ends with St. John, still exiled on the Island of Patmos, has a final encounter with the Risen Christ as the movie comes to and end. Going beyond that, Disk 4 of the biblical epic also produced by Roma takes us after the resurrection, through the feast of Pentecost, the emergence of St. Paul as the ultimate nemesis for Christianity until he was thrown from a horse and had a face-to-face encounter with the resurrected Jesus. Other biblical narratives in the same time frame are excellently and professionally presented by Roma Downey and her international retinue of actors and support personnel. Everyone who has spent time reading the bible, Old and New Testaments should not only watch this DVD by the entire four-disk biblical epic. Can't do better than that, except reading the "real thing." Good Lenten movie.

I disliked nothing. The actor that played Jesus, Diogo Morgado, was incredible. I love the movie; I love what it inspired within me. Between The Bible and the Son of God, my faith and belief has increased as these two movies were more realistic than earlier presentations of the Bible. I could associate what occurred in Jesus' life as though it were yesterday as the portrayal of human beings was very truthful. It's one thing to watch how incredible the leaders of the Bible were but it's another thing to be able to relate those leaders, i.e., Moses, Joshua, Abraham, the 12 Apostles, as human beings who sin as all of us do. To be able to relate to how others treated the Apostles is unbelievable. The positiveness of Peter was unreal. I will be watching these two DVDs many, many times as they guide me greatly.

I myself am a Christian. But admit that until the last few years was lost and believed in what I was taught by society. If there is honestly anyone who watches this movie and can not feel something after or during watching this movie all I can say is I hope you one day try again and continue to try until you do see what the truth has always been. The truth that even I did not see or believe in until recently. The actor who portrays the "Son Of God" in this movie had a way of just getting to me by the way he was able to portray what our God did then and what he also was capable of doing. This movie was not one that I was going to purchase, but I will say that I am so happy and full of love just from my transformation that has taken place. I know a lot of people don't believe in any of this, or just did not like this movie. I just want to say that we all need to realize that no one can honestly say they are not a sinner, but what you can say is that you are living right now on earth because of a man, a son, who chose to forgive people who were not even yet born from their sins that would be made years after he died so that our world would be a better one. That is the amount of faith he wanted us all to have and he had the hope that we would become better people. I have already known this, and knowing it more now, is helping me not just realize that a man who did not even know me, wanted to forgive me so that I would help in making a world full of chaos and fear a place full of love, faith, belief, and peace. This is the journey I am now on and hope to find more people like myself on the same journey.

It was well acted It was also very up lefting. it was lighter than most movies about Christ he is happier in this movie more than other movies about Christ Christ is usually painted as very serious and sad most of the time in this movie he smiles sometimes and is joyful at times.

I love watch spiritual movies and this was amazing. Definitely a must watch.

Why 4 Stars?
