Took my bitchin Thunderbird our for a cruise the other day. Sad news, my tapes didn’t play. I was so embarrassed I had to pull over and put my t-tops back in. What’s the point if I don’t have my jams. All I wanted to do was cruise around and listen to My mix tape I’ve made a legit mix tape; Here Comes The Hot Stepper, Regulate, Fantastic Voyage, and Groove Thang- just to name a few.Anyways, there I was with my t-tops in and my Tape player not working. I came home and got on my Macintosh. When shining down on me like Emilio Esteves had Found it himself- I found this tape deck cleaner!! I was totally buggin. Great news, my tapes are playing better than ever. I gotta bounce!

Works wonders. I had three units from the thrift store that would not play cassettes. Various issues but mainly they were either making loud, repetitive noises or werent playing any audio at all. I thought the volume slider was busted on one. I ran this thru two quick times and all three came back perfect! The cleaner is mainly just isopropyl alcohol and that can be done by hand but the demagnetizing was what they really needed.

Yes, I know, cassette tapes? I have hundred of hours of music in my collection. Nearly 30 years ago, I transferred all of my LP's 33 rpm records to cassette tapes. I still listen to, Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, and so many more. I like some of today's music, but some of it is just noise to my ears. I can remember when we "held" our partners while dancing. Today, it looks like a work out in gym. Go ahead and laugh, it is good for you. The cleaner I purchased is excellent. So easy to use! Three little drops on the cleaner, insert, play until it stops. Slip in the cassette and enjoy. Nice clean music. I fully recommend this product. It is the best buy of all listed for sale. Enjoy! It works. It cleans the tape heads.However, there are a few drawbacksto the design of the product.Cleaning should be about 30 seconds.It has only about that much tape till it stops.The instructions say to add the solutionto the open spot on the bottom of the tape.Which does work, but is not the mosteffective way to clean. That would onlyprove a small amount of cleaning.Instead it's better to add to the side ofthe cassette, where you can see howmuch tape is in there.However, since there isn't that much tape,this isn't easy. Still, I give them credit forleaving the side open.I think car tapedecks get extra dirty andreally need cleaning. There is no easy otherway to clean them on a car without one ofthese cleaning cassettez.On a regular stereo I would simply use aqtip with alcohol. Which is what the solutionsare basically made of.I also will say, I would rather they didn't put3 containers of cleaning solution. 1 and alower price would have been better, or usethe money to put more tape in the cassette.

My girlfriend's car is a 2003 with Bose speakers, but tape audio sounded atrocious. To be fair, we were using a tape adapter in our cell phones' headphone jack, so I wasn't expecting the best quality sound -- but it shouldn't have sounded *that* bad.I bought this kit because we figured the tape player had never been cleaned in 15 years. It seems we figured right. I ran this tape cleaner through a few times -- the tape player auto-reverses to switch sides of the tape -- and had to eject the cleaner to apply more solution a couple times. It took about 10 minutes, but I finally got good-sounding music out of my tape player.I give this product five stars because, in a day where cassette cleaners are less and less relevant, this one got the job done. It's not perfect, but a few more cleanings might change that. Either way, I got a noticeable change from using this product.

my vehicle has cd and cassette player with no other way to connect my iphone to play music on my cars stereo. works great and sound quality is very good

This didn't work at all, I think the cleaning tape was really small and never even touched the heads or anything else that needed cleaning. Tapes played in my player sound exactly the same before and after using this produc. I've played the same tapes in other players, so I know it's not them but my player. I'm going to have to get a better cleaner, the only good thing about this is that all these products use the same cleaning liquid and at least I can reuse that part of this purchase.

Got this product to improve the quality of the tape deck I just replaced in my 2001 car. The replacement deck was original manufacturer's equipment from another 2001 vehicle, totaled in a wreck, so its likely seen quite a bit of use over the years. The deck worked when installed, but performance improved significantly after the cleaning with this product. Working tape deck in my favorite old car, YAY!!!
