How big are the individual chocolates themselves, would they be ok to decorate an home made biryhday cake?

Depends on the size of the cake! They are acorn sized I would say... they are yummy, so I think as an addition to a cake, the recipient will be a very lucky birthday girl / boy!

While the Cocoa Nib Nights Monty Bojangles truffles are approved by the Vegan Society as they do not contain any dairy products, they unfortunately cannot be declared as being "Dairy Free" as they are made in a factory that also makes truffles which do contain dairy products. There is therefore a very slight risk that trace elements may be present and the truffles may not be suitable for consumption by those with a dairy allergy. How can they be vegan if they have Whey powder from milk in them?

Hello there, thank you for your question. These truffles are made with a recipe that contains no milk. They are however manufactured in a factory that handles this ingredient in other recipies and therefore we must declar on the packaging that the truffles may contain milk as a legal requirement. Absolutely delicious, whether you’re vegan or not!

A chocoholic friend has said these are among the best chocolates she’s tasted and I agree! I’m dairy intolerant and whilst the spread of veganism has meant that there are a lot more foods I can enjoy most of them are a compromise on flavour, but not with these chocolates! They have a rich cocoa flavour, enhanced by the crunchy nibs, and then melt in the mouth in a dreamy way. Couple of points for the manufacturer though: the individual plastic wrappers are not only annoying but bad for the environment and it would be helpful if the box had a tab/slot fastener so you could close it.
