Very unusual but wonderful
A lot of math books are 70% words and 30% math problems. Not this one. Story problems are wonderful but this is all math with lots of curious math problems. Here's and example (x-8)^1/2 - x^1/2 = -2 solve for x

It's a good book that breaks down the problems but it's the real long way which isn't bad but there are short cuts that can be taken to get the same result. Not to mention its not how it is taught in Michigan. Not to say it's wrong but my son was having a hard time relating it to what they were doing in class.

Great Book
I got this book for my niece and she really likes it. its very useful. It also not just for 9th graders its for all high school. So I will recommend you all to get this book.
