THIS IS THE BEST INVENTION EVER! IT SAVED US FROM A HUGE FLOOD cannot recommend enough!!!
Our insurance company required us to put this on our home, which I was super annoyed about. We had a plumber install it, which he did in like 15 minutes or less so no big deal there. You just need to know what size your main water pipe is which is usually either 1 or 1 1/4". Now I love it. I can turn the water on and off directly from the app on my phone. If the water runs for too long, they call you on the phone (its automated) but they are like, hey is this right? Almost like when you get a fraud call or text from your cc company -- they're like hey just checking in and want to make sure this is normal. I'm just really loving it so far.UPDATE: The Moen Flo just saved us from a HUGE flood! We went to the park and while we were out, I got a text, email and phone call stating that there was a concern. It asked me if I wanted to shut the water off, and I said yes. Thank goodness!!! When we came home and turned the water back on, there was a leak but because Moen Flo caught it and turned our water off for us, it saved everything!!!! NO HOUSE SHOULD BE WITHOUT THIS DEVICE!!!! period.

Works great
Great way to remotely monitor water usage and turn off the water if necessary. It will also send a report about monthIly water usage. If water usage goes up too fast over average usage it will call you and turn off the water unless you say no. It assumes a waterleak

it's working perfect
I like the APP, not only including many useful functions but good connection with the smart shutoff valve. I received a timely notice from the APP and a phoe call for a sudden and large amount water usage and the valve will shutoff automatically in 60 seconds if I don't interupt. I was not aware what happened for the outstanding water usage at that time, so I didn't interupt it. The valve really acted like what APP said. Few minutes later I received a call from my pool maintenance contractor saying they are fillling water into my pool but water flowing stopped. It was an interesting story but proving the smart valve working well.

Great concept, cheap product
This is a great concept but it’s executed poorly. When it worked, it was great and really gave me peace of mind. It even saved me a major headache when my water pressure was inexplicably rising beyond normal measures (faulty PRV valve). That said, it has so many issues that it’s not worth it.After 12 months of owning my first smart shutoff unit, the impeller crapped out. Customer service said I needed to replace the entire thing since that’s not a part you can just buy. They offered to replace it for free since the issue happened during the warranty period. When the replacement came, it lasted a few months before dying completely. Somehow water broke through a seal and flooded the power cord bank, which is a major hazard since water and electricity don’t go together. When I called customer service about it, I was told the unit is out of warranty (they go off the original purchase date, the warranty doesn’t reset with a new unit) so they wouldn’t send a replacement. I was told I needed to either buy a new unit (+$1000) or consider getting their extended warranty in the future, which is a scam in itself at $5/month. Either way, I’d be dishing out money because they sent me a unit that lasted only 6 months. If you want a smart shutoff unit that craps out every 6-12 months or you just love throwing away money, buy this thing.

Could not reach support desk
The product works correctly but the app has some bugs. It worked fine for 3 days but then stopped identifying types of use in "history". Tried calling support line for help, but expected wait times kept increasing from 140 up to 150 minutes, then I gave up.

So Far so good
So far I am satisfied with this system. It was easy to install but I am a bit worried about product life as there is a lot of plastic. Also wish the WiFi range was a bit better as it is fairly close to the router but only has a week signal. The learning mode was fine and it seems to operate without flaw so far.

Minimize water damage in case of pipe burst or plumbing fixture failure
This smart water valve is perhaps the best device in market at any price. It is easy to install and operate. Once installed it learns your water usage habits for few days and then alerts you if something is out of the norm. The App allows you to remotely turn water on and off. With water leak detectors this device will turn water off if water leak is detected. Some insurance policies offer discounts so be sure to ask your insurance company. Really a peace of mind.

Product is fine, app isn't great, additional sensor set up awful
Licensed plumber. The installation was fine, the sensor and app set up is no good. Spent longer adding sensors (which moen says you don't need, but customer wanted them.) Sensors had major issues. After a week, the customer called moen and moen said it was defective. Sent all new stuff. Sensors were still a beating the second time around. Spent 3x the time on the phone with customer service than the actual plumbing installation. Which was digging up the line in the front yard, bringing line to garage for valve, then back out tie-in to the yard line going into the house. Not a fan. And like any valve if it doesn't get used it won't work. So, I imagine by the time the valve needs to do its job, it may fail. Like floodstops.
