Conveniently sized, happily I didn't have to use it in Yellowstone or Glacier. Very attractively priced.The one weak point is the clip on the holster. The metal is soft, and easily bent. It quickly became too loose to stay on my camera belt (Spider holster belt system, looks like a gun belt/holster), which I wear over my regular pants belt. This meant that the spray would immediately fall to the ground once I unbuckled my camera belt. When I put the camera belt on, I would have to remember to pick up the spray and clip it to the camera belt. I left the spray in the RV once, and since it was too far away to go back to, I ended up buying another can from the gift shop which was nearby.Most people won't notice how weak the clip is, since they won't be putting much load on the bottle or holster. I move around a lot while hiking and photographing, as well as carrying a 30 pound pack of photo gear, so the clip gets bent when the bottle is pushed on by the cameras, my hip, or the pack. Your mileage may vary!

I bought this for my mom to take on her morning walk in the country. She was not approached by a bear but by two very large Great Danes that began to attack her little dog. She sprayed them and they immediately released and ran away. However, her dog got covered with the blow back. Her dog didn't feel well for a while but recovered. She was thankful to have the spray because it saved her dog's life and probably saved her from serious injury as well.

The size is good, big enough to deter multiple threats . Keep mine handy in my gobag. Nice thing to keep in your car, maybe save ya some ammo. Give one to your woman as a caring gift. Make sure she understands its bear spray.

The spray should go 25’ in a single stream and not dissipate like a water spray

I wanted a lot of bear spray if I come across any big bears. These are very large. The holder for them is solid and they fit snug in them. I just hope not too snug if I need to get onebout in a hurry. When buying this type of item, it is critical to feel confident it will perform if needed. I can say I have 100% confidence it will.

Haven't gotten to use it on anyone or anything but that's a good thing right. I keep it under my seat because you never know when you might need it. The area I live in (projects) let's just say you shouldn't be out too late, I've had a couple of near 'about to get shot' instances. I don't live in bear country I only bought this as a mace because of a bigger can. Now this thing can spray. And spray quite a long way. About 9-10 ft I'd say. And just catching a wiff of it I began to choke a bit so needless to say it is strong.
