2004 E46 BMW 325xi had been acting up. Running poorly for a month or so until it finally died on me. We were able to get it to our garage and I looked on youtube for a video of what might have been the cause. Fuel pump relay or the fuel pump itself seemed like the likely issue. I replaced the relay first but it still didn't start...It would crank strong, but no start...When I turned the car on I really couldn't hear any sounds coming from the fuel pump area so I ordered this one. 2 days later it's in the car and the thing fired right up.Mine still had the stock unit in place despite the 153,000 miles, and from what I've read they tend to go bad around 100 to 140k. Most guys say it's smart to replace it once high miles arrive even if it doesn't solve your problem this time. It's gonna go eventually and you'll likely get better gas mileage as a trade off for your labor.As for the labor? Simple. Takes around a half an hour and it's not rocket science: Remove your backseat by pulling up in the front of it and sliding it out. Your seat belts may need to be moved a bit to make it easier. Set that aside outside of the car; Unscrew the 4 bolts holding the round plate in place on your passenger side; Slide the connecter lock on the electrical connection back and pull up on the plug to disconnect; Loosen or remove the connection holding the gas tube in place. If it's the factory one you'll need to twist it back and forth to break it off. If it's an aftermarket pump you'll be able to unscrew it to pull it away from the spigot. Have a water bottle handy because gas may leak from this tube...Once disconnected, there's a metal ring with little notches that holds the pump in place. You'll need to use a hammer and flat head screwdriver, and tap that ring off, moving counter clockwise. It sounds harder than it is. It is the most difficult phase probably, but will take less than a minute to get the ring off... It's pretty easy... Once the ring is removed, you'll see on the pump that there's a little finger hole to pull the unit up and out of the gas tank. Give a good even tug as it's held in place by the gasket...There's a few parts on the pump you'll need to maneuver a little to get the old unit out. Once out remove it from the car...Putting the new one in is straightforward. There's a little notch on the inlet that shows you which way it goes in and this new unit went in easier than the old one came out. Pull the new gasket up around the unit before sliding the new pump in the tank; Set the gasket well in the receptacle before seating the new fuel pump in its place; Once installed, push down until flush, and reinstall the metal ring to hold it all in place; Connect the gas hose with a hose clamp. (This unit doesn't come with one, so you'll need to buy that separately. Think it was a 5/16" clamp for $.72 at Menards, or I'm sure gool 'ol Amazon has them too!) Tighten that gas hose firmly and reconnect the electrical connector and slide to lock it in place; Reconnect the metal plate with the four 10mm screws, replace your sound deadening material around the plate, and reinstall the back seat; You're done! (You might wait to put the backseat on to check for leaks but you get the idea...)Turn your ignition on and off a few times without starting the car to prime the pump a bit...Start that badboy up and pat yourself on the back for saving money and getting the job done!At 1/8 the cost of a $400 stock unit, it's hard to go wrong. Even if a person had to replace it once a year because the part doesn't prove to be the highest quality, and waste the 20 minutes doing so, they could go 8-9 years with the car before spending $400 plus labor, and most of us won't even keep a car that long...

The installation was pretty easy , the hardest part was loosening the metal ring that keeps the assembly in place and this was only due to the previous owner used of silicone around it , so far I'm happy with my purchase, I contacted the vendor to inquire about the warranty and they informed me that it's a one year warranty which is ok for the money, after installation my car is running strong with out issues so if you want save your self some money this might be worth the trouble.Update it already has been over a year since I installed the fuel pump assembly and so far so good, the pump keeps working and everything seems ok 👍, so I guess my 50.00 dlls where well spent.

I purchased this one only because bosch would have taken a lil too long to get to me. So I purchased this one in addition to the Bosch. So it arrived overnight delivery and it was in in no time and the car started just fine. Right from the beginning though it's noisier. What concerned me however more was that the car hesitated during start up couple of times. Obviously it could have been coming from anywhere else but once I switched it to Bosch the problem went away which should tell you something about longevity of this pump. Otherwise appears to be great product. The sealing ring however is single use only and very very flimsy

Perfect fit for the 2004 BMW 325i!

Brought this fuel pump because mine went out on my 99 e46 bmw, installation was easy, with the right tools you can finish in about 30 min or less, however, after 2 days of everything working fine, the pump failed. I had to have my car towed, and the shop technician diagnosed the pump as “failed”. I emailed the company, and they sent me out a second pump for the cost of shipping only. I rode on that pump fr an additional 2 days and that pump failed as well. So far purchasing this product has cost me two tow rides home and a huge hassle. It’s not worth it. Spend the money and buy Bosch. This pump WILL fail. Learn from my mistakes.
