LEGO Friends 41126 Heartlake Riding Club Building Kit (575 Piece)

Building with Legos is one my favorite things to do with my daughter (recently turned 5). With a little bit of guidance, she can follow the pictured instructions and create fairly complex structures. Her attention span does not last long enough for a project of this size, but she was so proud of herself for contributing to the final project!She has been on a My Little Pony kick, and I rebelled against that obsession to a degree by getting her this set for Xmas. I figured the pony theme carried over nicely for this set, and she could use some of her tiny My Little Ponies with it as well. She loved it, and it was great to see her play with something other than her MLP for once! It also encouraged her to learn some new skills and apply her spatial abilities to build parts of this set.

My daughter is 7. We put the Riding Club together at 3 sittings, she loves to play along the way. I would say it took us at least 4 hours to put together but we spent about 6 hours together as we did it. Instructions are written well for this age. She would be able to actually put it together by herself but the sequence of 100+ directions are beyond her scope. So I keep her on the correct page and monitor her so it turns out. Before this she has played with legos and has done some of the smaller sets at a local library and with my mom. This was her first large endeavor and it went well.

My girls love, love, love LEGO Friends. For her eighth birthday, my daughter begged for the Heartlake Riding Club set. The girls were thrilled. They were able to put the set together within an afternoon following the directions. Since then, they have used the pieces to build their own creations. With typical LEGO quality, these sets are fun and enjoyable. They allow for different levels of play and creativity.

I don't review normally, but my 5 year old loves this Lego set. At 5, she was too young to put it together on her own as there are a lot of instructions here and a lot of pieces, but we did it together and had a great time. It did take a while and we finished in chunks and would break, but now that it's all together she is able to play with the horses like crazy...which she does.

My niece really loves horses. She has lots of fun pretending to wash, exercise, feed and train her horses. The build was kind of challenging for a 5 year old but I enjoyed helping her build this set.The basics: There are 2 stables, a training area, and a barn. The tan and maroon colors go well together. Although the light blue would've looked better in white.We'd definitely recommend this set and hoped you enjoyed reading our concise review! :)

OMG!! I loved this set. I wish the kids left it together longer. Most the parts are together but separated. The riders and horses get used so often in the kids lego creations. Many of the tiny pieces have been used as well. I love buying Lego sets for the kids and then playing with some of the small pieces. I squealed when I saw the cute little mice!
