5-Star Review for Breville One-Touch CoffeeHouse (VCF107)“Better than the newer model — here’s why”I recently bought the Breville One-Touch CoffeeHouse (VCF107) as a replacement for the newer VCF146 model I had before — and surprisingly, I actually prefer this older version in many ways.Why it’s better than the newer version:1. Physical buttons are more reliable:One of the biggest improvements is the use of mechanical push buttons instead of the touch-sensitive sensor buttons found on newer models like the VCF146. On the newer machine, the touch buttons would occasionally activate unintentionally or require repeated pressing. With this VCF107, every press is firm, tactile, and dependable — no guesswork.2. Same high-performance 19-bar pump:Despite being an older model, it still uses a powerful 19-bar Italian pump, giving you rich espresso with proper crema. In terms of actual coffee output, there’s no downgrade at all.3. Familiar milk frothing system:The automatic milk frother works just as well as the newer one. It heats and froths consistently, and it’s easy to clean. There’s no compromise on cappuccino or latte quality.4. Solid build and easy-to-use design:The layout of the VCF107 is slightly more straightforward. Everything is clearly marked and accessible, which makes daily use smoother — especially for people who just want good coffee without overcomplicated controls.5. Better durability (in my experience):My newer model had issues with leaks and electrical faults — I believe some of the newer revisions have sacrificed robustness for style. This model feels a bit sturdier and more forgiving with daily use.

So far so good, makes a decent cappuccino and latte, water tank holds a decent amount, doesn’t take long at all to heat up ready to you, was a bit concerned when I read a review saying this, but I found this review to be untrue in my opinion or the buyer is super impatient, seems well made, I’m sure if you keep up with the cleaning function on the milk side of things it will last, hopefully! Time will tell, but for now myself and my family are hooked!

This is the first proper coffee machine I’ve bought. I had the basic Tassimo one before but the pods got ridiculously expensive. It’s easy to use with just a few niggles - the milk container is temperamental and fiddly to push in, it also doesn’t fit flush to the water container which doesn’t impact its use, just looks untidy. The milk frother lever is flimsy and feels like it will break off easily. It’s also difficult to clean the tube the milk goes down.Otherwise a nice nest little machine. With hindsight I would have gone for a bean to cup more expensive machine, but for a newbie like me it’s grand.

5 star is not enough. We have now this amazing coffee machine for 2 years and it performs better than super expensive ones. The coffee is amazing (I would highly recommend the illy coffee pods, you will avoid all mess with the coffee and they taste amazing. You can get them from Amazon in an 18 pack at £5-8 depending on the offer).Makes amazing cappuccinos as well. Beautiful froff better than a lot of bars. We drunk on average 3 coffees per day everyday and the quality has been consistent during the years.Big advice: if you can use bottled water, it will make a huge difference for taste and in the long run.Extremely important: every 250 coffees it will need to be descaled. Buy white vinegar to do that and follow the instructions on how to do it. The light will stay on for few minutes, with no sound, dw it will start pouring the water when ready.If you follow all and keep up with the descaling it is by far the best coffee machine you can buy for the house.

This is my second time purchasing this item. The first time, after 14 months, the milk reservoir stopped spouting and the coffee wouldn’t pour out. Amazon kindly refunded this for me as it was still within warranty. I bought the same product again, the quality of this machine reduced significantly. Firstly, the handle for coffee was very light (the last one was solid and has a nice weight). The look is exactly the same but the performance was reduced with the second machine. The milk would froth too much, even on the latte setting, quite often leading to overspill.Takes a long time to heat up. The second machine only lasted 12 months. It would sound like the milk is pouring out but there was no milk coming out. still within warranty so Amazon kindly refunded me for this and I have now bought a new machine from Beko.

Loved this machine with all my heart. Easy to use... delicious coffees ... latte cappuccino espresso. Whatever we wanted. Then at just shy of six months old the Pump stopped working. 😭😭😭 no more coffee.Customer service was a pain. Amazon sent me to Breville ...Breville said as it was under 12 months it was Amazon's responsibility... Amazon wouldn't give me a replacement so now days after dropping it at the post office with a return label I must wait for the return to be processed by Amazon who will refund to a gift card so I can then buy another.Honestly I just want a decent cup of coffee. Given how quickly this broke (nb I have a delonghi latissima in my home office that is now 11 yrs old and doing great - and I put the parts in the dishwasher) I am saddened but am unlikely to buy this again.
