I have a 12x15 ft paver patio which has regular sand between pavers. Would I just squirt this on top of the sand between pavers? how many bottles?

That's what I did. It's kind of tedious but it worked. I only did a sample area, so I'm not really sure how many bottles it would take. It depends a lot on the width and depth of the joint.

Is this meant to go over the pavers as well or only in the joints

It is a hardener for the sand joints only. We used it because of extensive rain was washing the sand away and the pavers were slipping. It works for this purpose.

Can this be used with regular sand or do I need to use a special kind of sand?
