This rear sight pusher tool works fine for Glock rear press on sights. It does’t hold the gun slide in place by the guide rails on the bottom of the slide but uses a screw to push down on the top of the slide which sits on a just wide enough plate. Not the best method but does work, cocks the slide slightly at a nose down angle once slide is secured. Could use 3 hands to set up, but with a few tries you’ll get it set up without cussing. The machining of the female threads on the frame of this tool are loose, as a former machinist I would call it sloppy. Frame of tool is made from hard aluminum, thick, wide, and sturdy. Pusher block is steel. Light grey anodized color, has increment markings stamped on frame above pusher block but no indicator pointer to reference to it. Comes with two hex wrenches for adjustment of working parts and a nice semi-soft firm storage case, so you can carry it in your range bag and it won’t beat up your gun.Used it first time on a Glock 45 9mm Gen 4 to install better sights. Easily pushed the factory sight off, and just as easily pushed the new one on. The pusher block is square, doesn’t have the tapered edge to match the factory taper on the Glock sights. Surprisingly it worked without damaging them. New sights were almost 90° ends and this fit well with the pusher block. Would be nicer if the pusher block could be flipped over to have both tapered & 90° edges.Note that Gen 1 & 2 Glocks were a very tight interference fit on their rear sights, having experience installing many new sights on these slides resulted in breaking of an all steel factory Glock tool back then when I worked with them. Newer generation Glocks were designed a bit easier to R & R the sights, so if you have a Gen 1 or 2 this tool might struggle with removing them. For use on applications of other brands of guns I can’t say at this time, but I don’t foresee it having any difficulty. Good for minimal use, great for having on the range for those fine adjustments to your eyesight.I’m a former range instructor for a large metropolitan PD, certified Glock armorer, and have even visited the Glock factory in Austria many years ago when they allowed you in. Bought this tool after my own $$$ tool was “borrowed” and never returned. You could say stolen, really. They don’t grow legs and walk away like some people say.

I admittedly was a punch and hammer guy on a few previous slides and got away with it. Had a slide I was pounding on like a fool for 20-30 minutes, got the sight less than halfway on, took a breather and decided not to want to damage the finish I ordered this after careful review of other like products and arrived nicely cased the next afternoon. After a quick lube to the threads and setting the clamps to hold the slim line slide, it took all of 10 seconds to effortlessly slide the suppressor height sights right into alignment. As stated in other reviews the notches in the frames are fairly useless for measuring anything with no corresponding notches in the pusher part. I gave it my best eyeball centering for windage but when I get to the range, I will easily be able to readjust it if need with this tool now in my toolbox.

I looked at sight-pushers for my Gl*ck(s) for quite a while, trying to find the best mix of value and price. I am shocked at how well this is built and how easy it is to use. You truly cannot go wrong purchasing this product and it will make your sight removal or adjustments insanely easy. I have already recommended this product to several of my friends.

I had a couple slides I needed to swap out/install new sights on. I saw the cheaper sight pushers on here and got those initially. Those were terrible and were not worth the money. I don't normally swap out sights frequently so I never saw the need to purchase one to own however, this is a handy tool to have if you have multiple firearms. May not get used a whole lot but it's nice to have around when you need it.As far as operation, it's a little clunky but manageable. Basically you have to jiggle the various screws around until you get your slide positioned where you need it. I would recommend some tape or foam padding on the slide and/or sight pusher. I didn't scratch up my slides however I did get some marks on there...nothing too bad though since it just wiped off. I used this on my Glock and FN FNX45 and it worked great. Works well with suppressor height sights as well.I wouldn't recommend this for a gunsmith since there are better options out there...and a bit more pricier. However, for the "average" gun owner, I think this is a nice tool to have. It's inexpensive and works well.

Very impressive sight pusher. My Review of this sigth pusher is fair and honest.1st let me start out by saying I was very impressed with the overall quality of this product from the packaging and case that these item showed up in. The case it self has a nice zipper and a foam insert for holding and protecting the tool. It comes with a good set of instructions. The sight Pusher it self is made with an aluminum frame. All thread steel parts have good cut threads and run very smooth. The sight pusher block is made of steel and is powder coated. All surfaces are very smooth with no shape edges. It also has hard polymer fitting to prevent scratches to your slide. I would recommend always taping up your slide for added protection. I have now used this tool to remove rear sights on sights on 5 different slides. I had no issues or problems removing the rear sites on a Ruger SR9C a Ruger American Pro compact 9mm also a SWVE 9mm and a friend's Glock19. The last slide I used with this was for my Walther PDP it easily removed the rear site and I was able to push in the new set of Trijicon suppressor hight nightsights. And before anybody asks I did not use this to remove any front site that are dove tailed in place. I am quite certain that this will work for most firearms slides that are out there but there may be a few that this will not work for. Overall quality is 5 stars in my book. Overall use for this product is also 5 stars. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anybody looking for a decently priced sight pusher. Thanks again Pridefend for a great Product.
