No, they are only sticky on one side - you remove the film from one side and attach that side to the skin, overlapping the ostomy bag ever-so-slightly. It's really so much easier if you place the barriers vertically, from the north pole to the south pole, rather than trying to do it horizontally. (Lots of personal experience, here.)
