Chassis Dirt Dust Resist Guard Cover for 1/5 Traxxas 6S 8S X-Maxx

I had trouble with adhesion of the tape. The thickness is good it keeps the dirt out. The chassis cover is a good value for the money. I'm thinking about buying one for my other trucks.

Fits well for the Traxxas X-Maxx that my boyfriend has. Keeps the wires and batteries from debris and water. If lost a part , keeps it within so you’re not retracing your steps trying to find pieces. I’d say quality good

Fits nicely on the Xmaxx but after a few bashing sessions the Velcro quickly starts to become unglued from the chassis. Might try to glue it back on with some gorilla glue or shoe goo. My stock ESC caught fire which burned up my first cover and I bought another so I guess I’d recommend it. Keeps snow and mud out of the electronics very well.

I purchased this for my new XMAXX 8S truck. Main reason was to inhibit as much dirt, grime and debris entering the electrics within the chassis. Mainly the ESC which has very small intake holes for the fan. I believe one common factor of the XMAXX's bad rap on the ESC is it getting dirty and clogged up hindering the amount of airflow from the fan and inevitably over heating and burning it up. The fitment of this dust cover is absolutely perfect. Be sure to wipe down the surfaces with alcohol where the Velcro will be sticking to the truck (preferably) while the truck is still new & clean. It was an easy install and with zippers on each side it makes for quick battery changes. I highly recommend this product. Has a high quality feel and appearance to it as well.

Works perfect on the xmaxx 8s fits. Easy to install with velcro and it actually keeps all debris out.

It kinda worked. I bashed on the beach and the adhesive for the Velcro let go. I cleaned the surface with alcohol and everything prior to applying the Velcro to the chassis. I replaced the Velcro with better Velcro and now we’re properly velcroing 😂

Put this on a brand new xmaxx. Used rubbing alcohol to remove any oils etc first. ALL the Velcro came off the first time i remove the mesh. Charge a bit more and ship out industrial strength velcro so people dont have to spend another hour and more $$ doing this all over. Garbage!!

This was totally worth the buy. It keeps out snow, sand, and mud within reason (it's not totally foolproof), but it has been VERY helpful during our transition from winter to spring here in Michigan.
