Good quality. But, It is hard to take out and put back the wine cutter.

I had the family round for food, one bought a bottle of wine, once the foil had been removed a cork was revealed. So, Cork screw, no, so I resolved to buy one. Did a bit of research and found this one. Family, food, wine, Cork screw, yes, as soon as it left the box my son in laws eyes were like saucers. He's a big engineering fan. I said would you like to be mum, handing him the Cork screw. Once he had given it the once over, he had the bottle open in a flash. Saying "this is a well put together piece of kit". So, if it's good enough for him.

I hardly ever write reviews but felt this quality of a product deserved my time and effort.As a young bartender in a busy, high quality restaurant, opening wine is a typical task, but one I was not very confident with.This was the second waiters friend I have bought and I am absolutely thrilled with it. Any apprehension of opening wine has now disappeared as I trust the product so much, it never fails and is a dream to open bottles with. Aesthetically the product is of the highest quality and befitting of its premium title - it looks like a dime when you whip it out in front of your corkscrew-less colleagues.Do not hesitate to buy this product, especially at this snip of a price.*disclaimer* no one from the company asked me to write this review

Yes, it looks great, but I agree with other reviewers:-1) The screw is too shallow a pitch, and not 'pointy' enough, to easily bite into the cork2) At Stage 2 the elbow has to bend inwards in order to engage with the bottle rim. It then gets in the way of the extraction3) The foil cutter is serrated and thus doesn't cut the foil, just drags and tears it.You will get your bottle open but won't have enjoyed the process.I'd have returned it if I hadn't ditched the packaging so quickly.

Looks good, feels good opens wine easily.What more can you ask?
