Fantastic Product
I know with pet products, like human, it works for some and not for others, but this has always been fantastic and sorts the tummy issue out really fast. Better than the tubes because it is more economical and you are not opening the whole product but just using however many packets you need. Highly recommend :-)

Saved my cats life
I’m not overstating when I say that my cat was almost dying from suspected inflammatory bowel disease. She had a flare up and lost control of her bladder and could hardly move. She had blood in her stools consistently for ages and lost half her body weight. I had thought I was managing it with diet having been resistant to steroids and that she was in the early stages of hyperthyroidism hence the weight loss but I started her on these sachets and she’s 50% better in two days. I am so grateful and relieved. They are amazing. Totally amazing. And mixed in with the food she will eat it with no problems. I wish the vet had given me these rather than me finding them myself but I can not recommend them highly enough. I have used the normal prokolin but not as consistently and seriously as this time. Amazing stuff.

Instrumental in my dog's gut health
My dog has suffered with IBD due to being on long term metacam which caused him eventually to develop a painful ulcer. The vets wanted him to stay on omaprazole indefinitely which was always hit n miss in effectiveness. It was only when I saw a homeopathic vet that she suggested an alternate routine to try and heal his gut (rather than simply line it!) and she recommended Protexin. We've never looked back since! Plus, as he isn't reacting badly to his foods, even his arthritis has improved. Finally - greats poos, good breath, good coat and better ear health. Great product.

Changed ingredients!
Ingredients list is cheaper and product is pale, now. But thankfully dog ate it. Hope it still helps my dog's dodgy bowels.

Simple and easy to use; given to me originally by me ver
I have an elderly retriever with a sensitive tummy and a young cocker who eats anything at all. In extreme cases I just feed the retriever on chicken and rice until she's feeling better, but it minor situations I find that using these sachets as instructed, for a few days, works really well. To answer the comments about how the powder gets everywhere - I just give the packet a quick shake before opening it, to shake the powder down to the bottom of the packet; the packets have a slit on the side which makes it nice and easy to open without having to hunt for scissors.I was originally given these by my vet; but they were a lot more expensive. I seem to need to use them a lot less these days - I assume because their gut flora is now much more healthy?

Brilliant
My dog has been back and forth to the vets for quite a long time now with stomach upsets. They would pump her full of drugs, she would be fine for about a month and then her bad tummy would start again. The last time I went to the vets they said they would have to investigate if the problem came back which would involve blood tests and god knows what to see what was wrong and I really didn't want to put my 11yr old dog through it. I went online instead and decided to make my own investigations.I ended up changing her diet radically and putting her on the best dried dog food I could afford. I also give her one of these sachets twice a week. It has now been 8 months since she needed to go to the vet and her poo's are perfect !!I also have a 2yr old dog who will eat anything and everything. At the first sign of a slightly runny bum I mix this in his food and he is fine immediately.

May not suit all dogs
We were recommended this by our vet for our elderly foster Laborador who suffered from pancreatitis. He was fed one sachet daily (two if he had loose stools) and only had a single flair up that required veterinary intervention in the two years he was with us. I also used it short-term with my 4-year-old Lab x Dalmatian who had a badly upset stomach from the medications he was on following a slipped disc; he had a few days of two sachets then went down to one for the remainder of his course of treatments and (on veterinary advice) for a week afterwards. It is quite strong smelling so probably wouldn't suit a fussy eater, and I would expect the results to vary depending on the individual dog/particular ailment they were suffering from but from personal experience with our two dogs, I have to say I think it's a brilliant product and would definitely try it again with a dog that had long-term or medication-based digestive issues
