There doesnt seem to be any codes for Fantasy Life in the powersaves codes database. Then I did a little googling and found out that Fantasy Life stores its saves in the SD card so powersaves will never be able to cheat it since powersaves only modifies the actual cartridges.

Would 3DS version update affects this?

No because this has nothing to do to the 3DS: with this you edit the savegame contained on your game card.
