How can I remove the MagSafe charger without removing the hub?

MANUFACTURER ANSWER: From our testing, it is recommended that you grab the cable portion as close to the MagSafe connector as possible and lift straight up. This will disconnect the MagSafe connector from the magnet on the MacBook and allow you to remove the charging cable without needing to remove the hub.

MANUFACTURER ANSWER: We do expect the hub to work with non-MagSafe MacBook's with 2x USB-C ports. The spacing between the two USB-C ports on MacBook's are consistent across all models, so the hub will still connect and function to the specifications of the USB-C ports.

All usb ports are powered. Some have 3-5.5 volts. If you have a Mac book, you want to get a usb hub that has a power source. If you use a usb hub that does not have its own power source… you will eventually blow out the MacBooks voltage regulator and that is not covered by warranty. You would be drawing too much power from for the usb hub than what the MacBook was designed to Handle. You should do what you can to buy a usb -hub with its own incoming power source.
