Bought a couple of these jewelry/trinket box paint crafts for my nieces (who are 5 and 6 years old) as Christmas gifts. To my knowledge, they haven't painted them yet but it looks like it will be a fun project when they do. They arrived in plain white cardboard boxes so naturally I opened them to make sure I had received what I ordered. At first glance I was confused because all I seen inside the cardboard box was the wooden trinket box and it felt very lightweight so I admit, I felt frustration immediately. Then my son opened one of the wooden boxes (because those weren't wrapped in plastic or any protective covers) and inside it was the paints, gems, brushes and whatnot. Instant relief came over me as I checked the second box to make sure all was intact with that one also. None of the paints or glues were leaking and everything seemed to be there. So even though the product boxing isn't really "store shelf designed" quality, the items did come as described. My only concern with the product is the thickness of the paint brushes. It is very minimal and narrow. It will take quite a long time to paint the box with the provided brushes so investing in thicker "bellied" and bristle brushes might be something a person would want to think about if you don't have any extras laying around. Overall, happy with this crafting project. The boxes have nice latches on them and the hinges seem strong and intact. The mirrors on the interior lid of the box were not cracked, broken or damaged. Came packed with a block of styrofoam to protect them. Looks to be a great indoor activity for when the weather just isn't cooperative for outdoor playtime AND the kids will have a great little customized personal keepsake box for themselves. Something they can feel proud of cause it'll be "made by them".

Cute and my granddaughters loved them. Great value for the money.

Got these as Christmas gifts and they loved them. Haven’t seen the finished projects but they were excited when they opened them.
