Excellent Fountain But be Careful When Replacing the Filter
I've had this fountain for 8 months and loved it. It's extremely quiet and the app yells at me when it's due for a proper cleaning instead of manually setting reminders. Plus if the vet needs to know how much water KeeKee's been drinking, I can pull up the app. Assembly is easy and the water capacity lasts a little over a week with one cat who drinks like a sailor.I was originally going to get a second fountain later on to put up elsewhere in the house but had to get one earlier because I accidentally gripped the wrong section when replacing the filter while opening it up and broke how the spout portion attaches to the metal tray which, unfortunately, you can't replace separately. However, that was my fault, not the fault of the actual product itself. Pro tip to anyone else: Make sure you grip the right portion or suffer the consequences.

My Cat Is Drinking More Water — Finally!
The Petlibro water fountain has been a total win in our house. My cat used to ignore her water bowl, but now she drinks multiple times a day. The gentle flow must make it more interesting (or just fancier), and I love knowing she’s staying hydrated. It’s quiet, easy to clean, and has a sleek design that doesn’t look clunky in the kitchen. The filter system keeps the water super clear and fresh — no slime or weird smells. Set-up was simple, and it holds enough water to last several days.If you’ve got a picky pet or just want to upgrade from a boring bowl, this fountain is 100% worth it!

Is it clean
If have bought many cat fountains and all have been difficult to clean and the pump would stop working within a couple months. Petlibto Dockstreamis very easy to clean and so far has been durable . The device needs to be cleaned and filters changed every 2 weeks. I am cheap and the filters are pricey. I tried to extend the life of the filter and it was gross and my wonderful cat deserves better. So I sucked it up and followed the maintenance recommendation. It is very important the pets get water to keep kidneys healthy. Be careful where you buy your replacement filters. It should be the fine mesh. I got the others and they were awful.

Great fountain, questionable monitoring
Edit: the gasket/bezel breakage in some pictures happens if you pull the filter cover above the tray straight up. It’s also very hard to remove that way.Unfortunately, the instructions and videos don’t show you how to remove it properly—they just skip past that part.To remove it correctly:Hook your index fingers into the water drain holes on each side and gently pull them towards you. This unlatches the front of the cover without pulling at the part in the bottom. Swing up the front of the top cover then remove the back. When you replace the cover after changing the filter, hook the back first then snap down the front. Not doing this right is part of why my first fountain started getting very noisy over time. I was pulling the cover straight up because I didn’t know any better, and it allowed the bottom portion under the tray to get loose so water dripped around the filter.PETLIBRO should document how to remove the cover.Original:I’ve been using this fountain for a few weeks now. I love the fountain itself, but I don’t trust the app monitoring.I was using a competitor’s fountain with a corded pump and a filter that bisected the reservoir, and that was such a pain to deal with I found myself shirking on maintenance. Having the cordless pump and the reservoir be wide open makes refills and cleaning a snap. I also like the big wide bowl so there’s no whisker fatigue and that the cat’s chin rarely touches plastic because the bowl insert is steel. It’s a shame the spout and filter housing is still plastic, though. The pump itself is almost completely silent. You can hear pulsing if you put your ear right up next to it but it’s inaudible from more than a foot or two away. That part is nice, as my previous model had a distinct hum you could hear across the room. But while the pump is much quieter than my previous fountain, the water action does make fairly constant trickling sounds, coming either from the small waterfall it creates on top or from the return path into the reservoir.I took the fountain apart and carefully reassembled it a few times, and made sure it was completely full to the max line, but no change. I ultimately had to move it out of my office into the kitchen because the trickles were distracting. On the plus side, the pulsing water makes very visible ripples and I suspect the trickling noises attract the cat and remind him to drink, even if it did bug me.The one major criticism I have is the app monitoring. Either my cat is part camel and gets by on 4oz a day or, as I suspect, the app itself is missing about half his hydration.Supporting this theory, I actually watched it go almost a full day missing all of his sessions, along with intermittent “network error” messages coming from the PETLIBRO app on my phone. This wasn’t a WiFi issue—the app could see the fountain just fine, and immediately noted me taking it off the base, dumping and re-adding water, etc. His hydration visits that I personally saw just never showed up in the app that day.I think PETLIBRO has a back end internet service that has to be up and accessible exactly when the water is consumed so that it can be logged (ie the fountain has no way to store it and send it later) and it was down at the time. That was probably the cause of the network errors on my phone’s PETLIBRO app.Maybe that service is also intermittently missing sessions all the time, or maybe the scale in the base just isn’t that accurate within fractions of an oz and that’s adding up to a large error. But there’s simply no way a 10# cat on a dry food diet drinks only 4-5oz a day. I’ve reset and recalibrated the scale multiple times, and while the app always notices my refills and reports a reasonable water weight for them, this problem persists. The other criticism I have is that the included instruction manual *never* mentions calibration, either as a setup step or a troubleshooting procedure, and it has zero information on how to disassemble the pump for cleaning—even though the cleaning brush comes in the box. For that information you either need to check listing information or go to PETLIBRO’s website.Yet, PETLIBRO says calibrate first thing. Since I didn’t even know I needed to do that, as I went by the manual, my initial setup was uncalibrated. After reading the listing more closely I reset the fountain, pulled the filter, and did it all from scratch again, but who knows if that’s part of why things are inaccurate?PETLIBRO needs to update their manual with *all* the needed usage info and not rely on people discovering it elsewhere. That’s especially true for *setup* steps. So I recommend the fountain itself, but consider buying the “dumb” one that doesn’t use the app, doesn’t need calibration, etc. It’s much cheaper, and I suspect it’ll give just about as much value. It’s a shame the cheap model doesn’t come with the steel tray or I’d simply say buy it, not consider it.

Good Product
I love this so much! I used to have a plastic one and my cats started breaking out with caffeine acne. Then I learned it's better to have a stainless steel one instead, I started doing my research and I found this! Honestly I absolutely love it! It tells you when your furr babies drank water and how much, and it also alerts you when it needs to be cleaned! My cats as well as my puppy adore this fountain and so do I. I 10/10 recommend.

Great fountain. Easy to use, set up, and clean.
Works great. Super easy to clean and take apart. Our 2 cats use it. It doesn’t take much space. No spillage. We’re very pleased with this fountain. The filter replacements were shipped, and received overnight, and the cost isn’t outrageous at all. Please keep the filter prices fair, and I’ll use your product forever. Thanks.

Get these
I will forever order these filters. The ones on the actual website are so expensive and you get the same thing here on Amazon. Don’t get scammed, buy the filters here. Your cats will thank you and your wallet will too.
