Well executed
This knife is everything you would need in an outdoor knife. The sheath, while it does have a plastic feel, is made well. Excellent retention on both the knife and the fire starter. The handle is extremely ergonomic although the rubber may cause some hot spots with heavy wood working. The blade came sharp and has a very thick spine. Oddly enough hx offers this model and a more premium one. I prefer this one.

Nice weighty knife.
Pretty cool knife. Inexpensive and surprisingly hefty. Would buy again.

Great knife watch out for the firestarter
Great knife. The Firestarter doesn't hold well in the sheath though. Not an issue unless your running trails. I ended up just trying it to the sheath to give myself some piece of mind.

Great knife, great price
First of all great presentation, although a bit wasteful. Knife is sharp, and strong. Handle is comfortable and doesn't slip in your hand, even wet. Good size for most tasks, not to bulky, allows for easier handling. Ferro rod works great, and the whistle is loud. When you push the knife into the sheath, and it stops it does rattle a little bit, but if you push a little further the knife goes into the sheath properly and sit quietly with no rattle. Just gotta push past the first stop. Overall great buy, would definitely recommend.

Great quality
Love this knife. Great quality. Great grip on the handle, thick blade , durable sheathe and blade, love the feel of it, as well as the sheathe and the set up of the Ferro rod built into it. Great idea putting the rod in the sheathe. Best fixed blade and sheathe I've bought and for the price, you absolutely cannot beat it. Will definitely be shopping with this company again. Already have a second just to have and it's still in the box.

Excellent knife from HX Outdoors
I collect knives and I use knives, I probably have over 200+ knives. This was my first knife by HX Outdoors and I caught it on sale for less than a 1/3 of what they want for them now, which was a steal. I'll start with the negatives first, and there is only one small one. The sheath rattled a bit with the knife inserted which was an easy fix, I shoved a cotton ball in it and it was fine after that. The grip on the knife is ergo friendly and has nice grip in wet weather. The grinds were even and well done and it was sharp enough to use out of the box (I'm not a sharpness snob that needs every knife I own to double as a scalpel) The sheath has a variety of mounting options, which is a huge plus, and the knife locks in nicely. I haven't used the ferro rod , but the knife has a spot on the spine to use for it. Over all it was an excellent buy for what I paid for it, but at full price it has a lot of competition that might be better.

The belt hook rocks
This is one of my favorite knifes I own, and I'm a knife collector. This came sharp but I was able to make it even Sharper using my knife sharpener. It can now cut arm hair it's so sharp! I like how the belt hook can hook on the belt horizontal that's a huge plus that many knifes don't do. That comes in handy when I'm camping and need my knife just pull it down from behind my back. The grip is good. The weight is a little heavy I feel for a bush knife but that speaks to the quality of the knife. Overall I think this is a good value for the money.
