Love this slicer. Perfect for French fries. Sturdy but not a cumbersome convenience. Big potatoes, small potatoes, skinned potatoes or not, this slicer can do it all. Simple and effective. Sturdy build. Does a beautiful job of fries cuts and cubes. Slices rights through with ease. Really turbocharges my prep time.

Fantastic design that works really well. Slap your potato on the blades, and shove that plunger down for instant fries. Also makes carrot sticks, and works great at dicing onions and bell peppers too. The clean up is easy if you use a dish brush.My biggest complaint is that they need to offer a "thicker" cut. The 9x9 matrix cuts 9mm x 9 mm fries of varying lengths, but i kind of like my fries and veggies cut slightly bigger. If they had an insert to provide something like a 7x7 or 6x6 matrix, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

I have used something similar in the past but I ended up giving up on using it as it was impossible to cut the potatoes with it.I was reluctant to buy this one but was glad I did. It works. Love the fries you get too. Not too thick and no too thing.Love it and recommend it.

I like French fries again after using the Prep Works Tower Fry Cutter. I read multiple reviews pro and con, watched the seller's video, and have easily made several batches of fries. I start with peeling the potato skin unless I can find organic Russets. Then I eyeball the length so I do not jam up the cutter. Center the potato per the video, push down firmly and "presto". I prefer to sauteed the fries in my cast iron pan which results in perfect browned morsels. I am very pleased! After a few months, if needed, I will revisit this product review.

Solid product, nice size for french fries, easy to use, easy to clean and good price.

I bought this because I saw an influencer using it in the kitchen and I was like, oh, that looks great! Its making things easier.And it does make things easier, but I don't use it as much as I thought I would.The idea is, you cut something to the size you want. Pop it on to the metal grate and take the other part and smash it down. Sending your pieces going through the metal into the bottom and collecting.It's a great way to slice up veggies, it's a great way to cut up potatoes or make french fries. Maybe you want small pieces of apple for a dessert. I wouldn't use it for softer, fruits and veggies because it's going to be messy. In all honesty, if you have small kids in the kitchen, maybe they could use this to help prep if things are cut small enough, because you do need some force behind the slapping down. However, those small children need to know not to touch any part of the metal. Because guess what? It hurts. It's very sharp, very, very, very sharp. I failed to realize this upon my first washing, and my fingers paid the price. OUCH.With that aside, it's easy to take a bag of potatoes, cut them to the thickness you'd like, and then smash them through this for home fries or those little hash brown cubi potatoes instead of buying them frozen.It's easy to put together the trinity; celery, carrots, and onion and have them be about the same size for sauteing.If you have some sort of brush and clean it after use, you can almost get away with just rinsing everything out with hot soapy water.It's sturdy and seems well made. I just used it today to throw a few potatoes in the crock pot for my homemade chicken pot pie soup. I got little cubed potatoes that were perfect for this dish.This would be great for anything that needs to be cut small for tiny little fingers to pick up. Think hot dogs, apples, bits of cucumber, more softer things.It's certainly not the worst kitchen gadget I've owned, and it's not terribly big or bulky. I've had better luck with this than I have those slap choppers that have the angled arm that you smash down. I've always broken those ones this is much more sturdy in my opinion.
