100% not a toy, Quite decent quality build and its pretty awesome that you can just plug it in and charge it. For those that don't know and have written bad reviews for this product because its "not a pointer" - Read about what you're gonna be buying, This IS a pointer, you just have to remove the tip. I charged it overnight. I read the manual. I even whispered kind words to it before the tour. The result? A faint flicker that made one tourist think I was signaling a UFO. Another asked if it was a pen. I said, “No, it’s my broken dreams in pointer form.”When I aimed it at the top of a monument, the only thing it lit up was my disappointment. Brenda from Iowa had a stronger flashlight on her keychain. I ended up just dramatically pointing with my arm like a deranged flight attendant.Also, the USB cap fell off somewhere near the Roman ruins. Pretty sure a pigeon took it.If you’re a tour guide and looking for a tool to help direct attention, may I suggest: a flag, a megaphone, or just emotionally giving up. Because this laser pointer? This ain’t it.
