Excellent for curved mantle
Our mantle is 3+1/2" thick and has a rounded front that extends 3/4" from top edge. Most stocking holders are unsafe with this curved front. I found some that curve back underneath, but they only extend back about 1", which is only 1/4" back from the actual top edge (not safe). These simple, inexpensive, hooks do the job.Based on the pics, I was expecting them to be pretty ugly. While they are not beautiful, they're not ugly either. They exceeded my expectations. With other things on the mantle, these are pretty unobtrusive. The clear plastic hook is triangular in shape and acts a bit like a prism. They look almost silver in light. The plastic is fairly strong. I attached an 8 lb weight, and the hook held well. I wasn't super confident with that weight, but 5 lbs should be no problem.I can't speak to longevity. Plastic fatigue might be a problem. However, giving these 5 stars. Simple, inexpensive, functional.Pics: 1 showing 8 lb weight. 2 side pics (one with weight and one with empty stocking)

Better than expected
I didn’t want to spend a lot for holiday stocking hooks. Came across these and they are perfect for my application. They are modern looking and definitely plastic but have some give and flex, not brittle. They do pick up a little glow from the lights on the mantle, which is nice. The rubber foot on the wood that holds them in place will not damage or scratch. They are a nice shape and do arc off the mantle. Holds the stockings well. No problems. Good option if you don’t want to spend a lot and want a more modern look vs traditional. They will take minimal space when packing them up for season, which is a factor for me.

These fit my gutters perfectly
Okay, let me set the scene for this review. I'm nearly 60 years old, and I could care less if I ever put Christmas lights up on the house again. But there's a wife here, and if mama ain't happy . . . you know the rest.So I had gutters installed across the front of my house recently, and I thought I would get some gutter clips and try hanging the lights that way for a change. If I gotta do a job that is sometimes less than pleasant, I want the job to go easily. I picked up a bag of clips from Target, but for some reason they wouldn't snap down completely on my gutters. Not sure why. Maybe those are made for a standard type of gutter and mine are different. Those clips went back to Target. The Amazon reviews for these clips got my attention, and the price was right so I decided to try them. It seems kinda funny to be leaving a review about something as mundane as this, but my feelings were a bit more congenial when I was standing on top of the ladder. LOLThese clips really work well. The twisted end of the clip appears to be a good match for most rain gutter types. I was pleasantly surprised at how well these went up, and I grabbed a couple of pics to demonstrate. If you're looking to make fast work of your Christmas lights, invest in a bag or two. You'll thank me.

Works great -- most of the time
Being a little OCD, it was driving me crazy to put Christmas lights in my windows that weren't straight. I hung them with Command clips, so the wire was pretty straight, but the wire, being twisted, would just let the lights go all over the place and it didn't look right (see photo of my window. The left side had the lights hung with the hooks). So I went in search of suction cups that would hold each individual light where I wanted it. Enter this product. You can see in the picture that instead of using the clip to hold the wire, I put it on the individual light. from the outside, they were all lined up nicely (right side of the window). It made me happy. The only "negative" is that not all of the suction cups stayed put during the Christmas season. Some came loose. Some didn't hold the light correctly. I'm okay with that because overall, it looked good, and I know the clips weren't made to hold the lights. I just wish someone would manufacture something that would hold well, with a clip that's MEANT to hold the individual lights (hint, hint). Maybe not hold the light bulb, but the light "fixture." Anyway, this worked really well for the money. I'll buy another pack for my Halloween lights.

These are the bomb!
Over the years I've tried a number of different gutter hooks to hang icicle lights on traditional aluminum gutters, including literally everything sold at Home Depot and most of what is sold on Amazon. Some are too small, break when trying to attach to the gutter or can't be easily positioned at the proper angle. Some are too large, and stick above the gutter. Some don't hold a variety of cords easily, or two passes with the same cord for when that's necessary. Some just don't seem to grab the gutter well, and after the first big winter storm they come loose or go cock-eyed.These are the goldilocks of gutter hooks. The size is perfect - they hook easily and very snugly on traditional aluminum gutters, while remaining relatively small and unobtrusive. They provide a very easy outer hook to run wires through which can accept a second wire without a problem, snugly. I will strongly consider just leaving these up through the summer rather than taking them down, because they aren't big enough to really stand out and look ugly. They'll probably get brittle after a couple of years of UV exposure, but we'll see.Honestly, if you've got traditional aluminum gutters, these are the best ever. I'm ordering several extra bags just to have for years to come.

Meh
They break after one season. They won’t hold up to Texas weather.
