Nice bin for recycling and normal waste. Manageable bag size.
Good rubbish bin, I mean good for rubbish. The 2 compartments allow one for food waste recycling and fir for general waste. The lids close slowly which is nice.Lid is thin-ish plastic but seems sturdy enough not to break. Previous metal one got dented quickly. You best buy the dedicated bags as most supermarket bags don't fit well. These aren't expensive thankfully. I bought them in bulk. And for a bin it looks OK.

BIG and Stylish
This bin is a BIG improvement over our last Songmics one. The package came so well packed, I’ve seen in other reviews that it was dinted on delivery so they must have bolstered up the packaged since those reviews. The colour is accurate on the pictures of the product and I love the subtle green colour. It’s very stylish and feels well constructed. I was looking at getting a simplehuman one but I couldn’t justify the price, this one feels like the same quality as but for a much cheaper price! The compartments are huge! I’ve always had dual compartment bins as it makes recycling so easy. The soft closing feature is great and it also came with a free sample of their bin bags which fit really well.I would recommend measuring properly unlike me as the lids can’t quite open fully under the counter but I’m okay with that as I can still throw rubbish in the opening.Overall I’m very happy with this product.

Great and sturdy bin.
Well designed bin, sturdy, able to keep out bad odours, soft closing lid. Comes with labels as well to identify which bin is which. Came with sample bin bags. Easy to place inside our kitchen. Not that heavy either.

A Nice Solid Bin
Got this to replace a rather messy set of plastic boxes for paper and recycling stuff. The indivual bin sizes mean I won't have to cart the contents out more than once a week.Looks good and fits in well. The individual boxes are sturdy and easy to handle. The main carcass has an air of quality to it.One star down has nothing to do with the bin. This lot use DPD, rather than Amazon Logistics, to do the delivery - and this time they didn't exactly cover themselves with glory. The bin left Birmingham for Glasgow at the end of day 1 and ended up in London for a day. Hence a day late. Not a huge problem. It arrived in good condition and the local driver was very good - but beware of Amazon delivery predictions when the supplier uses another carrier.

Good bin but is pricey
The media could not be loaded. Good quality bin, very sturdy and the lids work well with the foot pedal at the base. A good size as it fits the spot I wanted it for perfectly. It is not a heavy bin but has some weight to give rigidity to the bin and a solid base. The inner bins release easily and the 15 bin bags you get with it are easy to put on. However the recycle bags I have do take a bit of fiddling to sit in the chamber neatly. As for value for money, I'm not going to lie it is an expensive bin and I did have it in my basket for a while before taking the plunge. I will add to my review in a few months when I can give an honest opinion.

Quality product
This review is about the 58.6 x 32 x 65 Songmics bin (Amazon will stupidly list it against every Songmics bin.)There's another review saying that the lid doesn't close when there's a liner in. That's not true of this bin. We can't tell which bin that reviewer was talking about.Watch out for bins with pedals that fail cos the lid is too heavy for the mechanism (usually a thin piece of stiff wire being pushed til it buckles) or because the lid forms an airtight seal so the pedal is fighting vacuum pressure. This bin doesn't have either problem. The bags are a weird size but you can buy the ROHI 60cm X 78cm on Amazon at £3.49 for 60 bags. The official bags are 50x75.There's nothing to distinguish the two sides but I just stuck little coloured stickers on.The width (56.8) is perfect cos it's like a standard kitchen unit, but the depth (32) could afford to lose about 8cm so it wouldn't stick out as much. The capacity would still be huge and you'd still be able to sweep a plate or chopping board into it.It looks good and it feels sturdy. It ain't cheap, but I think the price is fair and we'll be using it for decades, or at least until some fool tries to open it with a heavy object on top.If they wanted to reduce the price they could dispense with the gimmicky slow-close function. A slow-open function would actually be more useful cos the lid slaps loudly against the wall behind. Perhaps that's good though cos it'll teach us to press the pedal gently.

Good value
I had bought another bin which was awful but this item arrived well packed, undamaged and in time. I didn’t want a sensor as they are more trouble to maintain. The inner lids are a little flimsy but my goodness it is big and stylish, fits beautifully in the kitchen. It was over my budget but I am so glad that I invested. Very happy!

Great dual bin, robust-ish, generic bags available
Arrived very well packed with hard protective corners and polystyrene top, bottom and on all sides. The bin has been in action for a few weeks now, everything is as it was - lids are still the same as regards opening and slow closure and the pedals are as per day one.The plastic bins are relatively easy to remove with a little indent on each side to put your hands, but they can be a little tricky and need a bit of a wiggle to get them back into place but nothing major. The included sample bag of liners fit well and are quite strong - going on reviews for follow-up bags, this might not necessarily be the case. The bin liners are quite expensive with a 300% price increase over some other liners, which do fit if you find the right 50l ones where you live.I'm personally using one side for rubbish and the other side for recycling which allows the plastic bin to be taken outside to the recycle bags and simply sorted. The stickers that come with the dual bin should be white and not black if you're going to stick them on the lid, black on black really doesn't work. There's nothing really I can fault about the bin so far.
