I have a genetic mutation that causes me to process only about 15% of certain vitamins, including folic acid. I took amphetamines (prescribed) for about 15 years to treat the ADHD that this genetic condition caused. The meds worked but I crashed every day in the early evening. I got off the amphetamines and now I take Welbutrin & 30 mg of methylfolate every day. I feel 200% better that when I took amphetamines. This stuff works, yall, and you literally CAN'T beat this price. One day insurance will cover prescription vitamins but until then, this is your best bet. I don't know what I would do without this supplement.

My physician recommended L-Methylfolate 15 mg to build up my serotonin levels. I had never heard of it & my local health food store did not have it. I have learned that this is the natural form of folate where folic acid is the synthetic form of folate and that the "L" signifies that it is an amino acid. Amazon had many different brands in many mg sizes to choose from. I am on my second bottle so I have been taking it for 2 months now and I can definitely tell a difference in my mood and quality of sleep. I have been taking an antidepressant for years and have never heard of this and I wonder why not. This has elevated my mood so much. I am very happy with both my physician's recommendation and Amazon's choices. This is a small capsule so it is easy to swallow.

First I am going to say, I am not a medical professional or a mental health worker.A few years ago, my psych doc told me L-Methylfolate would help my antidepressant work better, and he wrote me a prescription for it. It was covered by my insurance, until I switched pharmacies, so now I have to buy it online.A different doctor told me "There is no scientific evidence that L-Methylfolate helps medications work better." But I tried discontinuing it, and it didn't go well. My current doctor thinks it's "placebo effect", but whatever it is, I am glad I can get L-Methylfolate at this price. My pharmacy would charge way more. I got on subscribe and save too, so I'll never run out! <3

This seems to be the lowest cost option for this supplement. I was told you wouldn't necessarily notice a difference for a while, but I have noticed why you shouldn't take it without food. If I take it on an empty stomach I feel like my lymph nodes in my neck are swollen and it causes mild pain in the area around my collar bone.

My doctor recommended this as an addition to my antidepressant when I told him I wasn’t sure it was working. He told me there was a vitamin that has been know to boost the effectivity of antidepressants but many insurance companies didn’t cover it and it was quite costly. Right there in his office, I looked it up on Amazon and found it for $29.99. I ordered it and started taking it the next day. I swear, I immediately felt the change. I had never felt anything take effect so quickly. I’ve been taking it over a month now, religiously, and recommend it to everyone I know or meet who suffers from depression and/or is taking an antidepressant that seems to have lost its “luster”. I’m so happy to have found this at an affordable cost!

on my second day, first thing I’ve noticed so far, is my hands aren’t FREEZING all the time. They’d be cold no matter what but this seems to be helping some how. Also makes me somewhat tired/sleepy, kind of relaxing feeling, helps the body produce melatonin so it should help with sleep which is great news. If you’re an anxious body like me, I haven’t noticed any crazy significant feelings, but there is definitely some benefit!!
