Does this distribute weight evenly and what are the d rings made of

The hooks on the harness to detector are moulded plastic and very strong. The D rings on the harness are also plastic and equally strong. I have tried a few harnesses over the years and this is the best I have found. I carry a leg bag on the belt with pointer detector, small digging trowel and finds box etc. I also have a water bottle holder on the same belt. This puts all of the carried weight on your shoulder straps which are wide and comfortable and as stated, this harness is the best I have found and used over many years. I am 70 and been detecting for some 50 years. I use a Minelab Equinox 800 on the swing strap. Well made, worth the money.

My husband uses it and he is 6ft.
